1. Who we are

Latam Pulse ("we", "our", "us") is a data publication covering Latin American economies. We operate at latampulse.org. To contact us: privacy@latampulse.org

2. Data we collect

When you subscribe or start a trial: We collect your email address and subscription plan. We do not collect your name unless you provide it.

Payment data: All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Usage data: We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first, cookie-free analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data. No IP addresses are stored. Plausible is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant.

Cookies: We use one session cookie for admin authentication and one for subscription entitlements. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

3. How we use your data

• To send you our newsletter and product updates (with your consent)
• To manage your subscription and provide Pro/Institutional features
• To send transactional emails (trial started, payment receipts)
• To improve the platform (via aggregated, anonymised analytics)

We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Your rights (GDPR + LGPD)

If you are in the EU, UK, or Brazil, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your data
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — opt out of processing for certain purposes
• Unsubscribe — every email contains an unsubscribe link

5. Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete your data within 30 days. Payment records are kept for 7 years as required by law.
